Dress Code

The dress code for the day programme is smart casual. The dress code for the dinner on Saturday night is black tie. If you plan to join the walking tours of Oxford on Sunday morning, comfortable footwear is recommended.

Travelling to Oxford by Public Transport

If guests are able to, we recommend that they make use of public transport options to travel to Oxford.

If you are travelling by train, St Catherine’s is a 25 minute walk from Oxford train station. Royal Cars and 001 Taxis are reliable taxi services in Oxford.

The X90 and Oxford Tube are very regular coach services from London to Oxford. The closest stop is High Street (Queens Lane) and this is a 10 minute walk from St Catherine’s.

Driving to Oxford

The easiest way to get into central Oxford if you are driving is using the park and ride service. All Oxford park and ride services are open 24 hours a day, and vehicles can be left overnight. Bus timetables can be found on the park and ride website.

Alternatively, guests driving can make use of car parks in Oxford. The nearest public car parks to St Catherine’s are St Clement’s, St Giles (on-street parking) and Gloucester Green, all of which allow overnight parking.

Parking in College

Limited parking will be available in the college car park over the weekend. Due to ongoing building work, space in the car park is unfortunately restricted and we cannot guarantee parking spaces. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

A short-stay drop-off area will be allocated for guests staying overnight who wish to leave luggage before parking elsewhere. Holders of blue badges should contact development.office@stcatz.ox.ac.uk to book a parking space.
